The State Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan has the shape of a circle and is an image of a shanyrak (the upper vaulted part of the yurt) on a blue background, from which uyks (supports) radiate in all directions in the form of sun rays. To the right and left of the shanyrak are images of mythical winged horses. In the upper part there is a voluminous five-pointed star, and in the lower part there is the inscription “Kazakhstan”. The image of a star, shanyrak, uyks, mythical winged horses, as well as the inscription “Kazakhstan” - the color of gold. The authors of the State Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan are Zhandarbek Malibekov and Shoty Ualikhanov.

The State Flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a rectangular blue panel with an image in the center of the sun with rays, under which is a soaring eagle. The shaft has a national ornament in the form of a vertical stripe. The image of the sun, its rays, an eagle and the national ornament - gold color. The ratio of the width of the Flag to its length is 1:2. According to the law of heraldry, the silhouette of the sun is a symbol of wealth and abundance. Therefore, it is no coincidence that upon careful examination, the rays of the sun in our flag simultaneously have the shape of a grain - the basis of abundance and well-being. The steppe eagle or golden eagle occupies a special place in the worldview of nomads. Its image in the coats of arms and flags of the peoples and ethnic groups inhabiting Kazakhstan has a long tradition. In the language of symbolism, the silhouette of an eagle means state power, breadth and vision. For steppe people, it is a symbol of freedom, independence, striving for a goal, for heights, and flight into the future. At the same time, the eagle, having powerful strength, is able to give a worthy rebuff to anyone who tries to interfere with achieving the future. The silhouette of an eagle also arose from the idea of young sovereign Kazakhstan’s aspiration to the heights of world civilization. Another element that gives novelty and uniqueness to our flag is a strip parallel to its staff, consisting of a national ornament. The Kazakh ornament "koshkar-muiz - ram's horns" is depicted here.

The National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a musical and poetic work performed in cases provided for by the Constitutional Law.

Main provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan of 1995.

N.A. Nazarbayev is the first President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the highest official and commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. His powers are determined by a special section of the constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Since the establishment of the position on April 24, 1990, the President of Kazakhstan has been Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev.

The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the head of state, its highest official, who determines the main directions of the state's domestic and foreign policy and represents Kazakhstan within the country and in international relations.

On April 24, 1990, the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR (the highest authority in the republic) established the post of President of the Kazakh SSR by adopting the Law “On the establishment of the post of President of the Kazakh SSR and introducing amendments and additions to the constitution (basic law) of the Kazakh SSR.” On the same day, the Supreme Council elected Nursultan Nazarbayev as president. At the time of his election, Nazarbayev had already led Kazakhstan since June 22, 1989, as First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Kazakh SSR.

On December 1, 1991, the first popular presidential elections in Kazakhstan took place. The elections were uncontested, the only candidate - Nursultan Nazarbayev - won with 98.7% of the votes with a voter turnout of 88.2%.

In December 1991, Nursultan Nazarbayev signed a law renaming the Kazakh SSR into the Republic of Kazakhstan. On December 16, 1991, the Supreme Council proclaimed the state independence of Kazakhstan.

On January 28, 1993, the Supreme Council of Kazakhstan adopted a new constitution, replacing the previous one, which had been in force since Soviet times. According to this constitution, the president was elected by popular vote for a term of 5 years, and the tenure of one person in office was limited to 2 terms.

On April 29, 1995, a referendum was held in Kazakhstan to extend the powers of the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, until December 1, 2000. 95.46% of voters were in favor of this, with a turnout of 91.26%.

Statesymbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan

State Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Today's Coat of Arms of sovereign Kazakhstan is the result of enormous work and creative quest of two famous architects: Zhandarbek Malibekov and Shota Ualikhanov.

It was not easy to win this competition. Suffice it to recall that 245 projects and 67 descriptions of the future coat of arms took part in the final competition alone.

The coat of arms has the shape of a circle. In the world, the most perfect shape is considered to be the shape of a ball. And the circle, as the element closest to this perfection, is especially valued among nomads. The circle as an element of heraldry is used everywhere, but it is especially honored and respected by eastern nomads. This is a symbol of life, eternity.

The central element, which incorporates the main idea of our Coat of Arms, is the shanyrak - the circular top of the yurt dome.

Shanyrak is a symbol of family well-being, peace, tranquility. The skillfully, effectively and beautifully depicted tundyk, the anti-aircraft opening of the yurt, resembles a bright sun against the backdrop of a blue, peaceful sky. The domed poles - uyk, evenly diverging from the center along the blue space of the Coat of Arms, resemble the rays of the sun - the source of life and warmth. The authors managed to solve the problem of depicting kerege - the sliding lattice bases of the yurt. The cross-shaped, triple, kuldreush of the shanyrak symbolize the unity of the three zhuz, which ensures its strength. Thus, in the language of heraldry, the authors reflect the peace-loving essence of the Kazakhs. We call on all the peoples of the republic, under a common shanyrak, to strive to turn into strong, powerful load-bearing structures of our common home - Kazakhstan.

The next component of the compositional structure of the coat of arms are golden-winged, fantastic horses with crescent-shaped horns - tulpars. Although the image of argamaks in state symbols has a long history, nevertheless, this version of the authors caused great discussions and controversy before it was accepted. The silhouette of horses in the language of heraldists has a deep meaning and content.

It means: the fearlessness of a lion, the perspicacity of a falcon, the physical strength and strength of a bull, the speed, speed and flexibility of a doe, the cunning and resourcefulness of a fox in the fight against enemies. The golden wings of the horses also resemble sheaves of grain, golden ears, i.e. a sign of labor, abundance and material well-being.

In the center of the Coat of Arms there is a five-pointed star. In the project, a crescent moon and three small stars were located there. As the discussion progressed, options for eight-pointed, seven-pointed, and five-pointed stars were proposed. We stopped at the last one. Our hearts and arms are open to representatives of all five continents.

The color scheme of the Coat of Arms consists of two main colors - golden and blue. The first corresponds to the bright, clear future of Our peoples. The blue sky is the same for all peoples of the world. Its color in our Coat of Arms represents Kazakhstan’s desire for peace, harmony, friendship and unity with all peoples of the planet.

State Flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan

A blue flag with a golden national ornament on the left, a golden sun and a soaring silhouette of an eagle in the center today decorates administrative buildings in the republic, flutters over the buildings of embassies of sovereign Kazakhstan in foreign countries, and is installed near the United Nations building. It is now perceived by everyone as a symbol of freedom, independence and sovereignty of our republic. Its author is Shaken Niyazbekov. This new symbol of ours is the result of his creative quest and dedicated work.

More than 600 projects took part in the competition dedicated to the development of the state flag. After a preliminary selection, the commission put forward the four most interesting projects for discussion by the Supreme Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The main element of the national flag is its color. We must pay tribute to the perseverance and determination of the author, who from the very beginning abandoned multicolor and clumsiness and argued for the monochrome flag as a symbol of the unity of Kazakhstan. And in the final version the light blue color is determined. First of all, light blue is one of those colors that has been widely used by humanity since ancient times as one of the bright, expressive and pleasant colors. This is no coincidence. After all, this color predominates in nature. It is one of the seven sacred colors of the rainbow. The color of the sky and water.

Internationally, the policy of the country that raised the light blue flag as a symbol of its statehood must be treated with the greatest trust and understanding. Thus, without any admixture, the pure blue color of our flag testifies to the cultural and ethnic unity of the people and at the same time indicates the idea of the indivisibility of the state.

The sun is the source of life and energy. Therefore, the silhouette of the sun is a symbol of life. Man is not eternal. The coming into the world and the departure of a person from life is measured by time. And time is determined for a nomad by the movement of the sun. Sunrise and sunset, one dimension - day.

Its depiction in the coats of arms and flags of the peoples and ethnic groups inhabiting Kazakhstan has a long tradition. In the language of symbolism, the silhouette of an eagle means state power, breadth and foresight. For steppe people it is a symbol of freedom, independence, striving for a goal, for heights, and flight into the future. At the same time, the eagle, having powerful strength, is able to give a worthy rebuff to anyone who tries to interfere with achieving the future. The silhouette of an eagle also arose from the idea of young sovereign Kazakhstan’s aspiration to the heights of world civilization.

Another element that gives novelty and uniqueness to our flag is a strip parallel to its flagpole, consisting of a national ornament. The Kazakh ornament "koshkar-muiz - ram's horns" is depicted here.

National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan

coat of arms flag anthem of Kazakhstan

New anthem of Kazakhstan adopted

The corresponding law was adopted in the second reading at a joint meeting of the chambers of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. "Kazinform" 01/06/2006

Changes have been made to the text of the song “Menin Kazakstanym” by Shamshi Kaldayakov and Zhumeken Nazhimedenov, defined by this Law as the anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, bringing the song into line with the status of the national anthem. Since amendments to the text were made by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, he will be indicated as a co-author of the text.

In addition, in the future, when the anthem is played at official ceremonies, those present must stand and place the palm of their right hand on the left side of their chest.

Text in Russian (line by line translation)

There's a golden sun in the sky,

There is golden grain in the steppe.

A tale of courage - my country.

In hoary antiquity

Our glory was born

My Kazakh people are proud and strong.

Oh my people! Oh my country!

My homeland is my Kazakhstan.

I have endless space

And the road open to the future.

I'm independent

A united, united people.

Like an eternal friend

Meets a new time

Our happy country, our people.

Oh my people! Oh my country!

I am your flower, grown by you.

I am the song that rings on your lips

My homeland is my Kazakhstan.

The state emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan has the shape of a circle (wheel) - this is a symbol of life and eternity, which enjoyed special honor among the nomads of the Great Steppe. The central heraldic element in the state coat of arms is the image of a shanyrak on a blue background, from which uyki (supports) radiate in all directions in the form of sun rays. To the right and left of the shanyrak are images of mythical winged horses. In the upper part there is a voluminous five-pointed star, and in the lower part there is the inscription “Kazakhstan”. The images are made in gold color. In the State Emblem of the Republic, the image of shanyrak is a symbol of a common home and a single Motherland for all peoples living in the country. The stable development of Kazakhstan depends on the well-being of every citizen, just as the strength and stability of a shanyrak depends on the reliability of all its supports (supports). Winged mythical horses - tulparas in the state emblem are a key heraldic element. Since time immemorial, the image of a horse has symbolized such concepts as courage, loyalty and strength. The wings symbolize the centuries-old dream of the multinational people of Kazakhstan to build a strong and prosperous state. They testify to pure thoughts and the desire for consistent improvement and creative development. The golden wings of horses also resemble golden ears of corn and represent the hard work of Kazakhstanis and the material well-being of the country.

In the tradition of heraldry, each color symbolizes a specific concept. Thus, sky blue color symbolizes honesty, loyalty and impeccability. In addition, the color sky blue has deep symbolic meaning in Turkic culture. The ancient Turks always revered the sky as their father god, and their sky-blue banner symbolized devotion to their ancestor father. On the national flag of Kazakhstan, it symbolizes clear skies, peace and prosperity, and the single-color background symbolizes the unity of our country. Based on heraldic canons, the sun symbolizes wealth and abundance, life and energy. Therefore, the rays of the sun on the country’s flag are shaped like grains - a symbol of wealth and well-being. The image of the sun in the state attributes of Kazakhstan confirms its commitment to universal human values and indicates that the new young state is full of life-affirming energy and is open to all countries of the world for partnership and cooperation. The image of an eagle (golden eagle) is one of the main heraldic attributes, long used in the coats of arms and flags of many nations. This image is usually perceived as a symbol of power, insight and generosity. The golden eagle soaring under the sun represents the strength of the state, its sovereignty and independence, the desire for high goals and a sustainable future. The image of the golden eagle occupies a special place in the worldview of Eurasian nomads. They associate it with such concepts as freedom and fidelity, a sense of dignity and courage, power and purity of thoughts. The stylized silhouette of a golden eagle reflects the aspiration of a young sovereign state to the heights of world civilization. An important element of the state flag is a vertical stripe with a national ornament located near its flagpole. Kazakh ornament is one of the forms of specific artistic perception of the world in strict accordance with the aesthetic tastes of the people. Representing the harmony of various forms and lines, it is an expressive means of revealing the inner world of the people. The national ornament along the shaft symbolizes the culture and traditions of the people of Kazakhstan.
